I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Champneys Henlow. Having heard positive things about your establishment, I was looking forward to a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, my stay was far from satisfactory due to several issues I encountered.
Firstly, I was extremely disappointed to find that the sauna was out of use during my visit. I was not informed of this beforehand, which was frustrating as the sauna was one of the key facilities I was looking forward to using. In addition, the pool was cold, making it quite uncomfortable to use. These are fundamental amenities that I expected to be available and well-maintained at a spa of your reputation.
Secondly, I was dismayed by the unreceptive attitude of the staff at the restaurant. Upon arrival, I was informed that the bar was open from 6PM, but when I arrived at that time, I was told differently and had to walk back and forth twice to clarify the situation. This lack of organization and clear
communication was not only inconvenient but also detracted from the overall experience I had anticipated.
Furthermore, the cleanliness of my room left much to be desired. I noticed dust on surfaces and the bathroom was not up to the standard I expected from a spa resort. Attention to detail is crucial in creating a relaxing environment, and unfortunately, this was lacking during my stay.
Lastly, I found the overall atmosphere to be less tranquil than I had hoped. There were several loud conversations in common areas, which disrupted the peaceful ambiance that is typically associated with a spa experience.
I had high expectations for my visit to Champneys Henlow, and I am disappointed that my experience did not meet those expectations. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as I believe it could help improve the experience for future guests.
