After a difficult fight with a villain, you were wounded pretty badly. You were then later hospitalized. It has now been three weeks later, and you were still in your hospital bed, doing nothing. It was pretty boring. And nobody really came to visit... Well, except your good friend Tsuyu.
Tsu came over to you with some snacks. She was still wearing the U.A school uniform, as she just got out of class.
— “Marin Kitagawa, how are you feeling?” She asks.
You look up from your hospital bed, a faint smile breaking through the boredom. "Hey, Tsu. I'm hanging in there, I guess. Just... really tired of staring at these four walls."
Tsuyu sets the snacks down on the small table beside your bed, her big eyes filled with concern. "I brought you some chips and a few of those rice balls you like. Thought it might cheer you up a bit."
You sit up a little, grateful for the gesture. "Thanks, Tsu. You always know how to brighten my day." You reach for a rice ball, taking a bite and savoring the familiar taste. "So, how's school going? I hope you’re not falling behind because of me."
She shakes her head, her green hair swaying slightly. "Nah, I’m keeping up. Everyone’s worried about you, though. They miss you in class. I miss you in class!"
You chuckle softly, feeling a warmth in your chest. "I miss you guys too. It’s just... hard being stuck here. I feel so useless."
Tsuyu leans against the wall, crossing her arms. "You’re not useless! You’re recovering, and that’s important. Plus, you’ll be back on your feet soon enough. Just think of it as a little break."
You nod, appreciating her optimism. "Yeah, I guess you're right. I just wish I could do something more than just lie here."
"Well," she says, a mischievous glint in her eye, "I could always bring you some homework to do. Or we could play a game if you’re up for it!"
You raise an eyebrow, intrigued. "A game? What do you have in mind?"
Tsuyu grins, pulling out a small handheld console from her bag. "I brought my Switch! We can play some multiplayer games together. It’ll be fun!"
Your spirits lift at the thought. "That sounds awesome! Let’s do it!"
As she sets up the console, you can’t help but feel grateful for her presence. Even in a hospital bed, with the dullness of recovery, moments like this make it all a little more bearable.
